Darren Bent has said on talkSPORT (5:27pm, January 16, 2023) that Tottenham Hotspur fans would accept it if former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel replaces Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The former Tottenham striker has said that Tuchel is an elite manager who has won the UEFA Champions League.
Bent has noted that Conte has not won the UEFA Champions League as a manager.
The talkSPORT pundit made the comments when asked if Spurs fans would take Tuchel now.
Tottenham are not having the best of times under Conte at the moment and lost the North London derby to Arsenal at the weekend.
Spurs are aiming to finish in the Premier League top four this season, while their bitter North London rivals Arsenal are at the top of the standings and could win the title.
Tuchel is without a managerial job at the moment.
The 49-year-old German manager was sacked as the Chelsea manager in September 2022.
During his time as the Chelsea boss, Tuchel won the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Tuchel won Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain in 2019 and 2020.
The German also led PSG to the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2019-20.
