Newcastle United may now look to add two more Brazilians with both Raphinha and Vitor Roque believed to be top targets.
That is according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, who report that Newcastle are ready to splash the cash.
It’s stated that Newcastle will go for ‘three or four’ major signings this summer and more Brazilian flavour is on the menu.
Despite only being signed from Leeds United last summer, Raphinha’s future at the Camp Nou is unclear.
Barcelona need to make a big sale this summer and Newcastle would be willing to stump up big cash for Raphinha.
It’s suggested that Raphinha isn’t happy when left out of the team and doesn’t like playing on the left flank.
Newcastle would seemingly love to bring Raphinha back to the Premier League but he isn’t the only Brazilian target.
Newcastle want Vitor Roque as well as Raphinha
The report adds that Newcastle would like to sign Vitor Roque alongside Raphinha.
The Athletico Paranaense talent is a top target for Barcelona but Newcastle are now offering real competition.
Vitor Roque, 18, has emerged as one of the top young talents in Brazilian football.
The teenager started out with Cruzeiro before heading to Athletico Paranaense in 2022.
Having hit 11 goals in 41 games for Athletico, Vitor Roque is now wanted by Europe’s elite.
Newcastle may well want another striker this summer, with the idea of adding more competition for Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson.
Vitor Roque wouldn’t be immediately ready for Premier League action so developing him behind Isak and Wilson may make perfect sense.
Add in that a couple of Brazilians are already at the club in Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton and Newcastle mat well appeal to Vitor Roque.
If Raphinha joins too, Newcastle may have a number of samba stars to call upon next season.
