This is the latest Newcastle united News with the board Director taking the right steps to appoint CEO of Saudi Golf Federation Majed Al Sorour as the club Director.
Majed Al Sorour is the Saudi Golf Federation’s CEO and a Saudi Public Investment Fund adviser. The hiring comes less than 24 hours after the club unveiled its new green-and-white away shirt for the next season.
In October, the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) paid £305 million for an 80 percent share in the club. Majed Al Sorour, a Saudi Public Investment Fund adviser and CEO of the Saudi Golf Federation, has joined Newcastle United’s board of directors.

Sorour, who is also the CEO of Golf Saudi and is on the board of Al-Nassr, a Riyadh football club, was added to Newcastle’s Company House records today.

The appointment comes less than 24 hours after the club unveiled its new green-and-white away shirt for next season, which has a remarkable similarity to the Gulf state’s national team kit.

Newcastle’s emblem, as well as the collar and sleeve trim, are all green on a white background, evoking the Saudi national team’s shirt.
The design will be seen as a way for the club to enhance revenue sources in Saudi Arabia through shirt sales while also reflecting its primary owners.
Sorour joins minority shareholders Amanda Staveley, Jamie Reuben, and Saudi royal court advisor Yasir Al-Rumayyan on Newcastle’s board of directors.
The Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) bought an 80% share in the club for £305 million in October, with the Premier League stating that there were no ties between PIF and the Saudi government.
On Monday night, the Magpies host Arsenal in their final home encounter of the season.

Sorour was in attendance for PIF’s inaugural game, a 3-2 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at St James’ Park.
Sorour, who has been on the boards of the various golf organisations since 2018, has led Saudi Arabia’s push to attract golfers in recent years.
The Magpies will play their final home game of the season against Arsenal on Monday night.
