Aston Villa defeated League One opponents Bolton Wanderers Sunday evening to advance to the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Steven Gerrard’s team went down right away due to a goal from Dion Charles, but after Douglas Luiz drifted his corner goalward straight off the corner, Villa’s talent started to show as they cruised to a 4-1 triumph.
After the match between Tranmere Rovers and Newcastle United in the second round is finished, the competition’s draw for the following round will take place tonight at roughly 9.45 p.m., live on Sky Sports.
The draw will be available to broadcast on Sky Sports Football’s YouTube account, as well as on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football. As of right now, Villa is scheduled to travel to play Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion team on the Saturday of the third round, which begins the week of November 7.
