This is the latest Aston Villa News with Steven Gerrard receiving crucial PL giant instructions amid £50M transfer talk.
SportEarly gives you the latest Aston Villa transfer news as Steven Gerrard pursues additional summer acquisitions, this time involving a Manchester City player.
Manchester City are reportedly set to make a bid for Brighton’s Marc Cucurella, which could leave Ukraine international Oleksandr Zinchenko on the periphery of Pep Guardiola’s squad, prompting Aston Villa fans to suggest that Steven Gerrard make a move for the 25-year-old.
Zinchenko is a versatile member of Guardiola’s squad, having joined the club in 2016 and since then has helped City win four Premier League titles, four League Cups, an FA Cup, and two Community Shields.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Zinchenko may depart the Etihad this summer as Guardiola looks to bolster his team.

Cucurella, a Spain international, is City’s top left-back target, according to the Daily Mail, and Guardiola is ‘keen’ to recruit his fellow Catalan after being pleased by his Premier League performances.
However, he might cost the club £50 million, resulting in a large profit for Brighton after they bought him for £15 million from Getafe.
And Villa supporters feel that if Cucurella joins City, Zinchenko would be a good addition for Gerrard. On Twitter, here’s a sampling of what fans have been saying…
@Julie_Bayley_: if City are after Cucurella off Brighton ..Villa should put in a bid for Zinchenko
@Chornstarr: for anyone that watches international football, zinchenko is a very very very very good central midfielder
@AvfcTribe: Genuinely think you could play Zinchenko in any position apart from maybe CB and DM. Massively underrated and City more than likely in the market for a LB
@DirectSnap_LK: Would love for #avfc to sign Zinchenko for our centre midfield.
@lew_clamp: would be a great signing
@Joey2Arms: 100%. A quality player. Cannot fathom why they want to bin him off!
@Harry_VTID: Probably starts in our midfield and offers great depth in other positions, including left back
@ItsBradleyC: I’d fully have zinchenko
