According to The Mirror, Bill Kenwright has intervened to ensure that Everton finalises a deal to capture Lille midfielder Amadou Onana.
According to the newspaper’s sports section in the print edition [06 August, pg. 3], Frank Lampard collaborated closely with Kevin Thelwell and the Chairman to complete a trade.
Onana is expected to sign with the Toffees for a cost of £33.7 million after turning down a transfer to West Ham United in London.
