After a successful 2-0 victory over the Italian champions forth night ago, one of the Liverpool first team player had a knock and possibly miss the Carling cup final against Chelsea later this weekend.
Jurgen Klopp has announced that Diogo Jota suffered an ankle injury during Liverpool’s 2-0 win against Inter Milan.
During the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 match, Jota was substituted by Roberto Firmino.
The Reds took a 2-0 advantage into the second leg at Anfield, thanks to goals from Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
Klopp, on the other hand, will be concerned about Jota’s fitness ahead of the Carabao Cup final next weekend.
“Apart from Diogo having to go off with something around the ankle ligament, I’m pretty delighted with everything.”
