According to reports, Chelsea is attempting to sabotage Paris Saint-pursuit Germain’s of RB Leipzig defender Nordi Mukiele by including Timo Werner’s return to his former team in the negotiations.
An exceptional prospect, Mukiele had appeared to be close to joining PSG, but according to a tweet from writer Santi Aouna, Chelsea are now vying to land the 24-year-old.
Details are in the tweet below, and if the Blues are successful in outbidding PSG in this transfer deal, Werner’s unexpected return to Leipzig might also be in the works.
There is undoubtedly a place in Thomas Tuchel’s team for Mukiele, who has excelled in the Bundesliga and appears to be a solid option at either center-back or right-back.

Given that Chelsea’s summer hasn’t exactly been smooth so far, it could be worthwhile to try to recruit Mukiele as a replacement for Jules Kounde. Fabrizio Romano gave an update on this convoluted affair in his piece for CaughtOffside earlier today.
