Bryan Gil, a winger for Tottenham Hotspur, sent a mysterious statement on Instagram after his purported loan deal with Valencia fell through on the final day of the transfer window.
In a £21 million transfer last year, the Spaniard left Sevilla for Spurs, and Erik Lamela made the opposite move (Independent). Since he hasn’t got enough chances at Tottenham, many people predicted that he would move on loan once more this summer. But because that did not occur, he is now confined to North London until at least January.
After Tottenham block his exit, Bryan Gil posts a mysterious message on Instagram.
Gil appeared destined to go on loan to Valencia for the duration of the campaign. Gennaro Gattuso, the manager of the Spanish team, even said that a deal was “99%” complete, and they were just waiting for Spurs to find a replacement.
Gil’s move to Spain fell through after Tottenham failed to make any signings on yesterday’s transfer deadline day.
SportEarly made known by Tom Allnut of The Times reported that Valencia was incensed with Spurs for cancelling the contract, which was reached “weeks ago.” Gil doesn’t appear really content either.

The young Spaniard posted a photograph on his Instagram account yesterday with the caption, “Sometimes an old photo lets us remember the days when we were joyful and we didn’t realise it,” according to The Express.
Although the timing of the post makes it appear that way, we cannot be certain that he is referring to Tottenham’s decision to obstruct his transfer to Valencia.
Now that the transfer window has closed, Gil just needs to accept Tottenham’s choice.
He would have been ideal for a loan transfer to Spain. Even with the five-substitute rule, he is now very low on Antonio Conte’s priority list, thus it’s unlikely that he will see any action for Spurs this year.
He must, however, put his head down and work diligently since there is nothing else he can do. He could receive a few minutes if he gets Conte’s attention during practise, but it actually seems improbable given the alternatives the Italian manager has available.
Gil’s next opportunity to leave Valencia will be during the January transfer window, and it would be intriguing to watch whether Valencia makes another bid for him.
