All is done
We’re not clear why Everton decided to keep Tarkowski’s arrival from Burnley a secret until the end of the month.
Everyone knows he’s on his way out of Turf Moor, and it’s one of the worst kept secrets in the North-West that he’s joining the Toffees.
Burnley has complained to the Premier League about Everton’s finances in what appears to be a desperate attempt to explain their relegation.
It’s almost as if the Clarets are blaming our expenditure for their failure when, in reality, they dismissed their greatest manager in decades with only a few games remaining and then blew it against Newcastle on the last day when they were in good position than Leeds stay up.
We have no clue why Everton believe that delaying the news of a free agency acquisition will help them. Just go for it. Who cares if the agreement is revealed now, tomorrow, or on July 1st, and why should Burnley care?
Everton should benefit from Tarkowski’s arrival. Our defense has been very poor, particularly at set-pieces. Our back-line should be vastly better next season thanks to Tarkowski’s aerial presence and knowledge.
