According to 90min, Everton is in advanced negotiations to sign Ross Barkley and is also in talks to permanently sign forward Michy Batshuayi.
On Friday, July 29, 90min stated that 28-year-old Barkley is eager to return to his childhood club and that there are only “minor technicalities” left to be resolved before he can do so at Goodison Park.
In an effort to reduce their salary cost before the start of the new season, Chelsea is in negotiations with the Toffees about signing 28-year-old Batshuayi on a permanent basis.

Armando Broja is still a target for Everton, although a transfer now seems doubtful given Chelsea’s asking price.

With the striker still capable of performing at a top level for at least three more years, a move for the Belgian international does make sense in the near term.
After a series of loan stints throughout his tenure at Stamford Bridge, Batshuayi may find scoring goals to be a genuine challenge at a permanent new home.
The 28-year-career old’s hasn’t exactly benefited from five loan stints in six years.
He is undoubtedly a terrific striker, and with 25 goals in 45 appearances for Belgium, he has a stellar international record.
It is hoped that if the striker is acquired, he would continue his strong performance at the club level.
Barkley, a midfielder who is obviously well-liked at the club, might be a signing that truly injects some enthusiasm back into Goodison Park.
