Newcastle United have been offered the chance to sign Arnaut Danjuma on loan.
Speaking exclusively to NUFC Blog, Football Transfers correspondent Jacque Talbot has revealed that we are one of several Premier League clubs who’ve been offered the Villarreal forward.
The 25-year-old was linked with a summer move to St James’ Park and is currently in England with his agent after the La Liga side sanctioned a mid-season move for the Dutchman.
Danjuma played under Eddie Howe at Bournemouth during the 2019/20 season and has shown some superb form in Spain, bagging 16 goals last term – six of which came in Villarreal’s run to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Here’s what Talbot told us this afternoon, revealing that versatile winger has been floated our way:
“Arnaut Danjuma has flown to England with his agent to speak to clubs over a possible loan move this January, which Villarreal have sanctioned.
“He has previous with Eddie Howe, but made just four Premier League starts in his only full season under the Newcastle coach after signing from Club Brugge in 2019.
“Since then, he’s shown some great form in Spain and was linked with a move to St James’ Park over the summer, but there are question marks over his attitude an work rate.
“Newcastle are one of several clubs who have been offered the Dutchman, with Everton, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Bournemouth all expected to hold talks.
“I’m told the player and club have touched base, however, it seems unlikely Newcastle will go for it.
“Chris Wood may be off to Forest, so there could be something to it, as he is a versatile forward who can play out wide and through the middle. Stranger things have happened and Newcastle do tend to have an ace up their sleeve, but I can’t see it myself.”
