Tottenham are set to announce club-record commercial income for the 2021-22 campaign, sources have told Football Insider.
Spurs’ income from sponsorship and merchandise sales will marginally surpass the £161.5million they earned throughout 2020-21.
It will be the second time in as many seasons – and also only the second time in the last decade – that the North Londoners’ commercial income has outstripped their payments from broadcasters.
TV cash is typically the main earner for all but the biggest clubs in the Premier League.
A financial source told Football Insider that only Man City and Man United are expected to join Spurs in trousering more from commercial income than they did from media rights in 2021-22.
The full accounts are due for release by 31 March next year.
Tottenham’s broadcast takings were hit by their failure to qualify for the Champions League or Europa League, and indeed by their failure to make it out of the group stages of the inaugural Conference League.
The 2021-22 campaign was Todd Kline’s first full season in the charge of the commercial department.

Kline has previously worked as chief commercial officer for NFL sides the Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins, experiences which have lent themselves well to Spurs’ relationship with American football.
The club hosted two more lucrative NFL fixtures at their 62,850-seater stadium during the financial year.
They did not, however, announce a naming rights deal for the state-of-the-art venue despite the fact most analysts believe they will be able to net up to £20m per year from such an agreement.
