Sources: West Ham in pole position to sign Terem Moffi amid £30m reveal
West Ham are in pole position to sign Lorient striker Terem Moffi, sources have told Football Insider.
But the French club are holding out for their £30million asking price to be met for a deal to be sealed by the January cut-off.
West Ham are in talks to sign Moffi, 23, this month as they look to bolster their misfiring attack.
The Nigeria international is wanted by multiple Premier League clubs after banging in 12 goals in 18 games to make him the second top scorer in Ligue 1.
Southampton have already had a £20million bid for him rejected and he is also being monitored by Everton, Aston Villa, Leicester City and Bournemouth.

Lorient are reluctant to lose Moffi this month as they look to book a place in Europe but are likely to reluctantly sell if their £30million valuation is met.
The seven-cap Nigeria international is under contract at the French club until June 2024.
Moffi’s goal against Marseille on Saturday (14 January) means he has scored 35 goals for Lorient in 90 games at the club.
West Ham spent a reported £35.5million on Italy international forward Gianluca Scamacca in the summer window.
However, the former Sassuolo man has struggled for form at the London Stadium – scoring just three Premier League goals in 16 outings this season.
Michail Antonio, who has scored just twice in league action this term, was preferred to Scamacca as West Ham fell 1-0 away at fellow strugglers Wolves.
The Irons fell into the relegation zone with the loss and face 19th-place Everton at home next week (21 January).
