Ruslan Malinovskyi is desired by Tottenham, and Gian Piero Gasperini of Atalanta is amenable to the playmaker’s departure this summer.
Spurs have had a successful window, but one might argue that they still lack a reliable offensive midfielder.
Although they are all excellent centre midfielders, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp, and Yves Bissouma aren’t exactly offensive threats.
The ideal player would be able to play as a number 10, and Tottenham might still pursue a player in that position even though they decided not to pursue Christian Eriksen.
According to the article, Tottenham were aiming for a loan-to-buy arrangement but Atalanta desired an instant sell for a fixed price.
According to reports in Italy, Malinovskyi wants to join Tottenham, thus Marseille has given up attempting to get him.
Malinovskyi, 29, is a talented and dangerous attacking midfielder who like to use his left foot to deliver strong shots, especially from a distance.

Even though Malinovskyi is not a long-term fix, that may provide Tottenham something fresh.
Gian Piero Gasperini, the manager of Atalanta, has now spoken on Malinovskyi’s future and is amenable to the arrangement.
Atalanta star Ruslan Malinovskyi, who has been strongly connected with Tottenham in recent days, is the hot name in the running.
On Tuesday, Tutto Atalanta announced that Malinovskyi’s transfer to Tottenham was almost finalised.
According to Gasperini, Malinovskyi has been “amazing” for Atalanta and has adapted to a crucial job extremely well, as reported by The London Evening Standard.
Gasperini said that considering the fact that Malinovskyi only scored six goals in the league last year, it makes sense for Atalanta to be searching for other players in the trade market.
In addition to Ilicic, who has been there for years, Gasperini claimed that Malinovskyi has been exceptional for the team. “We never imagined of finding a guy with those qualities,” he added.
“He has done some pretty fantastic things and has been excellent at adjusting. Atalanta should search for a player who scores more than six goals, though.
He has adjusted extremely well, but it’s appropriate that the club search the market for players with traits more suited to the game,” he continued.
Malinovskyi has a respectable overall record of 29 goals and 27 assists in 129 games, so Tottenham won’t be deterred.
