    FIFA Club World Cup final: Prize money for Chelsea, Palmeiras, Al Ahly revealed

    After the historical win for Chelsea fortnight ago, the official FIFA Club World Cup website release the prize attached to the winner of the competition, runners up and 3rd place.

    The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) will award Chelsea $5 million for defeating Palmeiras in the FIFA Club World Cup on Saturday.

    According to Sporting News, FIFA will award Palmeiras $4 million for losing the Club World Cup final against Chelsea and Al Ahly $2.5 million for winning the third-place final (Bronze medal).

    Chelsea won their first FIFA Club World Cup on Saturday night, defeating Palmeiras 2-1 at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

    Romelu Lukaku and Raphael Veiga scored for both Chelsea and Palmeiras to ensure both teams played a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.

    But Kai Havertz scored a late penalty in the second half of extra-time to ensure Chelsea defeated the Brazilian side to win the FIFA Club World Cup.

    Meanwhile, Al Ahly had defeated Al Hilal 4-0 in the third-place final tie earlier on Saturday.

    Chelsea now will be focusing there attention to another history in making later this February as they tackles former UCL winner Liverpool in Carling cup final, once the blues clinch the Carling Cup, they will remain the only team to succeed in that feat.

    likewise, the club is in contention for another champion League this season and also in FA cup forth round tier.
