Antonio Conte appears on his way out of Tottenham with multiple reports indicating the Italian is set to be axed following his explosive press conference following the club’s 3-3 draw with Southampton before the international break. Express Sport takes a look at five players whose futures may be affected as a result of Conte leaving.
Harry Kane
Before Spurs brought in Conte, Kane’s future at the club was up in the air with reports suggesting he was angling for a move away. But the England captain seemingly had a change of heart when the serial winner arrived at Tottenham and there was optimism from the club’s hierarchy that Kane would want to stay.
He’s continued leading Tottenham from the front and is again playing a key role in their battle for a top-four finish. However, questions will now be asked once again about Kane’s future if Conte leaves and Tottenham go through another transitional period.
Kane will turn 30 years of age this summer and he’s indicated in the past that he wants to be challenging for trophies and he’ll be left wondering whether that is possible under the next manager.
Davinson Sanchez
Tottenham have the worst defensive record of any side in the top 12 positions of the Premier League and changes will need to be made by whoever potentially replaces Conte this summer. The Colombia international will have just one year left on his contract this summer and it’s been reported that he could be sold to free up some funds for a replacement.

He’s barely featured under Conte this season, starting just six Premier League games despite Tottenham’s defensive woes.
Yves Bissouma
Tottenham appeared to strike the deal of the summer transfer window last year when they signed Yves Bissouma for just £25million. Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United had all been linked with the talented midfielder before Tottenham swooped in.
But it’s been a disastrous debut season in north London for Bissouma and Tottenham may well look to cut their losses if Conte leaves. Bolstering Tottenham’s midfield will be a priority for whoever potentially takes over from Conte this summer and Bissouma’s future would certainly be in question.
