Four things spotted from Everton training today as its looks so freshing after shaking off the dissapointment in the last match with Manchester City and focus on the next game.
Everton’s newest set of training photographs from Finch Farm have been released as Frank Lampard’s team prepares to face Boreham Wood in the FA Cup.
Some Everton players, such as Yerry Mina, may not make their comebacks anytime soon, while others are coming closer.
After missing his side’s last match against Man City at Goodison Park, Blues supporters will be glad to see Dominic Calvert-Lewin involved in training this week.

The striker is expected to miss this weekend’s meeting against Boreham Wood, but might return in time for Tottenham Hotspur’s visit next week.
Ben Godfrey, meanwhile, appears to be continuing his solo training sessions on the training pitch.
Since being hauled off injured in Frank Lampard’s first match in charge of Everton, a 4-1 FA Cup triumph over Brentford last month, the centre-back has been unavailable.
Fabian Delph is back out at Finch Farm in the newest set of training photos, and appears to be taking part in individual sessions.
In December, he made his last appearance for the Blues in a 3-1 loss at Crystal Palace.
Youngsters participating
It’s no surprise that a handful of young players are taking part in Everton’s senior training sessions these days.
Over the course of the season, the Blues have given these types of opportunities to a number of individuals, with a handful of them rising up to obtain first-team minutes.
Lewis Dobbin is the most well-known of the group, and he can be seen in the current series of training photos once more.
He last appeared for his club in an FA Cup win against Hull City, although he also appeared in the second half of a 1-1 draw away at Chelsea in December.
Tyler Onyango is another name that doesn’t come as a surprise in the first team picture these days, especially given his ability to freshen things up in the midfield after a difficult game the last time out.
Both Donny van de Beek and Dele are cup-tied, but Abdoulaye Doucoure and Allan put in a strong performance against Manchester City.
Onyango can find himself in a situation where he is needed.
Reece Welch has been involved in senior training on a regular basis in recent weeks, and he was seen with the group at Finch Farm once more.
He’s been in excellent form with the under-23s so far this season, and it looks like it’ll only be a matter of time until he gets an opportunity in the first squad.
It’s unclear if this will happen on Thursday or not.
Meanwhile, in the build-up to this game, Isaac Price has been photographed with the senior group.
In recent months and years, he’s had a meteoric ascent up the ranks, frequently turning in great performances for both Paul Tait’s under-18s and David Unsworth’s U23s.
Is it about to get a senior bow for that?
Change of ball
This may be a minor adjustment, but it’s worth noting.
Normally, you’d witness Everton’s first team training sessions using Premier League footballs, as one would anticipate.
Godfrey is still utilizing a yellow ball used in the top tier while he continues his individual effort.
Those who are expected to play against Boreham Wood on Thursday, on the other hand, have been practicing with different equipment.
In preparation for their midweek encounter, the team has been practicing using Mitre footballs, which are used in all FA Cup matches this season.
Of course, it’s only a minor change, but in the build-up to any game, any small variation might be vital.
Gordon’s recommendation
Over the previous few months, Anthony Gordon has proved to be an important player for Everton.
After battling for a consistent starting spot early in the season, the winger can now confidently say that he is one of the first names on the team sheet these days.
Everton fans can quickly identify to his style of toughness, pace, technical skill, and drive, and he makes his team much better anytime he’s on the pitch.
Gordon has been photographed taking part in the current training session as Everton prepare to face Boreham Wood, and the 21-year-old is expected to be included.
A handful of the photographs also show the winger deep in conversation with Ashley Cole, which is intriguing.
The Blues coach puts his arm around Gordon and appears to be offering him some particular guidance, possibly outlining the types of scenarios full backs should avoid.
Cole is definitely a significant hand with players all over the pitch – and will continue to be crucial for Lampard – rather than just focusing on the defensive side of things.
