    Ghana vs Nigeria: Hudson-Odoi takes final decision on dumping England for Black Stars

    After the young attacker set to come home to Ghana after Chelsea win the champion league in last may, since then Callum Hudson Odoi has been a prospect of joining the black stars of Ghana and achievement good feat with his father country.

    Callum Hudson-Odoi, a Chelsea midfielder, has decided to abandon the England national team in favor of Ghana.

    However, this will only happen if the Black Stars defeat Nigeria’s Super Eagles and qualify for the World Cup later this year.

    The 21-year-old, who was born in Wandsworth, London, to Ghanaian parents, has represented England at different youth levels since he was 16 years old.

    In March 2019, the Chelsea midfielder made his full debut against Montenegro three days after coming in as a substitute in England’s 5-0 Euro 2020 qualifier triumph over Czech Republic at Wembley.

    Since then, the Champions League and Club World Cup champion has not appeared for the senior team.

    Last year, he turned down a call-up to the England Under-21 squad in order to focus on his club responsibilities.

    And now, according to London World, the 21-year-old has made his international decision, notifying his close friends that he has opted to play for the Black Stars in the World Cup.

    The Black Stars must now overcome the stumbling block of defeating Nigeria in a two-legged World Cup qualification playoff to secure their berth in Qatar.

    Due to new FIFA regulations, the footballer, and any other player for that matter, can alter his international allegiance despite the fact that two of his three caps came in competitive matches.

    “I’m not sure.” When questioned about his international future, the Chelsea winger told the London Evening Standard, “At the end of the day, we will wait till that moment comes.”

    If everything works 0ut fine for Odoi, he may set to feature for the black stars of Ghana in any of there world cup qualifier matches, with latest Ghana vs Nigeria set to play this February.
