Following the news of his recent decision to join Sheffield United on loan, Ciaran Clark has posted a touching farewell letter to the Newcastle supporters.
It’s improbable that the Irishman will ever play for us again because his contract expires at the end of the upcoming season.
The defender expressed his admiration for the “great” squad, city, and supporters on Twitter and said he was “proud” to have worn the black and white for six years. He also wished Eddie Howe and his former teammates the best of luck.
The center-back said that he’s excited to see Newcastle United in the years to come and believes they have “interesting years ahead” of them.
