Idrissa Gana Gueye, who could also be on his way to Goodison Park, has responded to the news that Everton has acquired Amadou Onana from Lille.
Last time around, the Toffees endured a forgettable season. Many Everton supporters expected the Rafa Benitez gamble would fail before the season even started, and Frank Lampard was hired in January to fix the situation.
The Englishman deserves a lot of credit for keeping the Toffees in the Premier League. He now has a massive task, but his signings thus far, at least on paper, are promising.
Onana is the newest signing, and a player who is from Belgium might soon join whom the fan love (Idriss Gueye).

Since Onana appeared to be headed to West Ham, it came as a surprise when Everton decided to sign him. Everton has been connected with a number of players this summer.
Lampard and his team deserve a lot of credit for closing this transaction. The young Belgian midfielder was outstanding for Lille in Ligue 1 last year, and if he succeeds in adjusting to the Premier League, he may be a tremendous asset for Everton this year.
Onana was featured in a number of photos that the Toffees shared on Instagram after announcing his signing. Gueye, who is reportedly a target for Everton, responded to one of those with three fire emojis.
He obviously approves of the signature, I think!
Everton hasn’t done anything particularly noteworthy in the current transfer window this summer. They have, however, made a few good acquisitions.
At the back, James Tarkowski and Conor Coady are excellent acquisitions. Both players are familiar with the Premier League, and with them in front of Jordan Pickford, the Toffees may become very difficult to score against.
Onana is a good addition as well, but having an experienced manager working with him might make him much better.
Gueye, who is poised to join the Toffees from PSG, appears to be the player in question.
