Destiny Udogie has been acquired by Tottenham, and the Udinese prodigy is thriving in Italy after scoring the opening goal in a 4-0 demolition of Roma on Sunday.
In pursuit of three points, Jose Mourinho led his Roma team to Udinese, but it turned out to be a dreadful evening for the former Spurs manager.
Udogie opened the goal from close range as he seized on a mistake from Rick Karsdorp.
By the addition of goals from Luke Samardzic, Roberto Pereyra, and Sandi Lovric in the second half, Chelsea defeated Roma with a resounding margin.
Tottenham have signed Destiny Udogie
Given that they had already agreed to terms with Udogie for the upcoming season and beyond, Tottenham will have been quite interested in this game.

Tottenham then sent Udogie back to Udinese on loan for a year, meaning he’s only bound for North London next summer.
Even with Ryan Sessegnon on board, Tottenham seems to think that Udogie can be their left wing back of the future.
It’s possible that Udogie may succeed Ivan Perisic, who will turn 34 in February.
For Udinese, Udogie has demonstrated tremendous promise, which was once again evident on Sunday.
Many strikers, much alone wing backs, would have been pleased with Udogie’s goal.
Roma’s right wing defender Karsdorp attempted to chest the ball back to keeper Rui Patricio after it was crossed to the back post.
Udogie very astutely foresaw it and snuck in on Karsdorp’s weak side to swoop in and score the first goal.
Antonio Conte, who undoubtedly can’t wait to mould and develop Udogie in the years to come, will be delighted with that type of offensive play.
Only Pereyra received a better rating from Tuttomercatoweb, which is part of the Italian media, than Udogie’s 7.5 out of 10 score.
TMW noted that Udogie’s first name Destiny may also express his dreams of playing in a senior role for the Italy national team while asserting that he “controlled” the left side throughout the match with Roma.
Udogie defeating Mourinho’s Roma is another another indication of the enormous potential that Tottenham appears to have in their hands.
