After it became evident that no offer from Arsenal would be forthcoming, former Arsenal player Jack Wilshere is being pursued by a number of European teams.
According to Sport Early, Serie B side Como and clubs in the Greek Super League are interested in signing Jack Wilshere.
After being released by Bournemouth in the summer, the Hale End academy product found himself without a club and was asked back to train with Mikel Arteta’s side at London Colney with the hope of finding a new one.
During that time, the England international has also spent time with the Gunners’ youth set up, assisting him with his coaching badges in preparation for a future career as a coach whenever he retires from professional football.
For now though he would like to carry on playing and it seems as though Wilshere may be moving closer to finding himself a new team.
“Including a new signing who is more than just a target: Jack Wilshere, a former Arsenal player.”
Wilshere is also the subject of a formal offer from an unnamed Greek Super League side, with the free transfer window in Greece set to close at 23:59 on Tuesday.
“That’s a different story,” said Arteta when pushed on if he could be tempted to give Wilshere a pay-as-you-play type contract.
Wilshere, for one, appears to be open to the notion of a transfer abroad, having spent his whole career in England with Arsenal, Bolton, West Ham, and Bournemouth.
