Leeds United manager Javi Gracia has welcomed Adam Forshaw’s return from a long-term injury.
The Whites boss, speaking at his pre-Liverpool press conference, said it was “good news for all of us”.
Injuries have restricted Forshaw to just six appearances for Leeds this season.
His last outing came in the Newcastle United stalemate, a game in which he came off at half-time.
However, Forshaw was back in the squad in the 5-1 loss to Crystal Palace, albeit as an unused substitute.
Leeds are next in action against Liverpool at Elland Road on Monday night.
And Forshaw’s return is timely, with the Whites having few midfield options at Gracia’s disposal.
Tyler Adams is likely to be out for the season following surgery on his hamstring.
Gracia spoke about Forshaw’s return to the fold and how much of a boost it is.
Adam is coming from a long time injured,” Leeds Live quote him as saying.
It’s good news for us. We don’t have many centre midfield options. It’s good news for all of us.”

Marc Roca and Weston McKennie will likely start for Leeds against Liverpool.
However, in terms of strength in depth, Forshaw’s return is a huge boost for Gracia.
He is an experienced option off the bench in case one of Roca or McKennie needs to be subbed off.
While Archie Gray and Darko Gyabi are talented, they have just three senior appearances between them.
Leeds are still in the relegation dogfight, so an experienced head like Forshaw is great to have fit and raring to go.
