Jesse Marsch has admitted that Leeds United may need one more signing at the club but feels the squad now has real quality and weapons.
Leeds United had a busy January transfer window, bringing in Max Wober, Georginio Rutter, Weston McKennie and Diogo Monteiro.
BBC journalist Adam Pope has now relayed comments from Marsch suggesting that the club still aren’t the finished article with a potential defensive signing on the horizon.

“Jesse Marsch on how complete his squad is. Stronger than it’s ever been since I’ve been here. Maybe at the back, we can use one more player,” said Pope on Twitter. (3 February, 1:54 PM)
“Everyone that’s here now is here for a reason & it’s because we believe in them. We feel we have real quality and real weapons.”
Yes, please.
It’s nice to see that Marsch is aware of where next the team need to invest him, a defender or more reinforcements at the back are essential in the summer.
Problems at the back have plagued the Whites for some time now and even though Wober has seemed to sure things up slightly, there are still improvements to be made.
The Leeds United attack now seems to be primed to flourish alongside the engine room of the team with the addition of McKennie.
It’s fair to say that this Leeds United squad, on paper, is the best it’s looked in some time and it’s nice to see the hierarchy actually move forward on promises made.
Results are now needed from Marsch to cement his position in the hot seat, there simply can’t be any excuses made now as to why points can be achieved.
The American has finally been backed and it looks like the signings made are definitely from his playbook, now Whites will have to wait and see if he can turn this season around.
