Junior Firpo has told the Official Leeds United Podcast that it is “unbelievable” to play alongside Leeds United ace Jack Harrison – claiming Harrison is one of the best in the world at helping out his full-backs in a glowing verdict.
Harrison, 26, is back in form after a couple of shaky spells. The uncapped Englishman has been superb for Leeds – having a hand in 13 goals this season. With Gracia in charge, he has four goals and assists in four league games.
Ian Wright recently said that the arrival of Gracia is getting the best out of no.11. But of course, it could have been very different had his move to Leicester City gone through. Harrison remains out of contract at the end of 2023-24.
Asked about Harrison, Firpo said the ex-Manchester City man is one of the best in the world when it comes to work rate – and getting back to help his defenders. He said it is “unbelievable” to play alongside Harrison, on the left.
“With Jack, we don’t need to work on our relationship,” Firpo said, speaking on the Official Leeds United podcast. “We have a great relationship, on and off the pitch. He is one of the best wingers I’ve worked with.
“Yeah, in terms of helping the full-back. That is really important for a full-back, to have a winger that is committed with the work and willing to come back and help with the 2 v 1’s. It is unbelievable to have him,” Firpo added.

With Harrison able to speak some Spanish, and Firpo able to converse in English, the two have formed a really close bond – having played together on the left for some time. Willy Gnonto of course, now starts on the left flank.

But, Harrison – who has been used in the no.10 role and even on the right at times – is often seen covering Firpo and dropping deeper into midfield. The ex-New York City star’s work rate is phenomenal and he will be crucial for Leeds.
