Everton’s summer transfer activity has gotten off to a sluggish start with only one addition, yet a fresh possible target has already been identified.
What’s the latest update?
The Toffees have reportedly entered the hunt to recruit Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Alassane Plea this summer, according to RMC Sport (via Sport Witness).
According to the source, the midfielder has a cheap deal that expires next summer, and his asking price is €8 million (£6.8 million). However, the Merseysiders will have competition to get him since teams like Nottingham Forest, Nice, and Marseille have all expressed interest.

Lampard is able to find his own son
With less than two weeks till the start of the Premier League and only one addition made thus far with James Tarkowski joining the ranks at Goodison Park, Frank Lampard will be feeling the pressure at this moment.

Everton now faces the additional challenge of replacing Richarlison, the team’s leading scorer from 2021–2022, who has joined Tottenham Hotspur, in addition to their urgent need to strengthen and improve their roster in the wake of last season’s unsuccessful battle for survival.
The Goodison Park crowd should be praying for Plea’s attention as a consequence, since the Frenchman has been a productive asset to Gladbach over the past 12 months in the Bundesliga and might develop into a useful player, if deal is agreed.
The talented player, who made £59k per week and was described as “extraordinary” by Gladbach legend Günter Netzer, scored nine goals, provided six assists, and created an impressive 14 big chances in 2021–2022. He also averaged 1.8 key passes, 2.8 duels won, and 1.9 shots per game over 32 league appearances.
With the addition of Plea this summer, Lampard could even discover his own Son Heung-min since the Spurs star was one of the Frenchman’s biggest resemblances last season, according to FBRef.
The Gladbach striker surpassed the Tottenham favourite for assists per 90 (0.26) and shot producing actions per 90 (4.65) as well as winning more tackles despite the Korean making more goal contributions (30) and recording a higher pass completion rate (76.3 percent) (14).
With that in mind, Moshiri would do well to sign Plea, and Lampard may find Plea to be a wonderful choice for replacing Richarlison’s offensive threat in the club for the upcoming season.
