Sam Chambers, a young Leeds United player, scores a goal, and Jesse Marsch should pay attention.
There are plenty talented kids aiming to make it big at the Leeds United academy, and now another one could have entered the picture.
Sam Chambers, 15, has not yet made an appearance for the Whites’ Under-18s team this year, but he has started to show off his skills while competing for Scotland in the Under-16 age group.
In his debut start at that age, Chambers helped the Scottish Under-16s defeat Denmark 1-0 by scoring the game’s lone goal, as reported by LUFC Youth on Twitter.
He took possession of the ball around 30 yards from goal, unleashed an unstoppable shot into the top corner, and then was surrounded by his teammates after scoring.
Considering Chambers for a position in the first team’s training camp at the age of 15 might be a little too soon for Jesse Marsch, but it might not be as far off as you would think.

If Chambers puts on a similar display to Archie Gray, who was already a regular for the Under-23s at the age of 15 and went on to participate in the senior squad’s preseason tour and the bench at the age of 16, he may receive the call.
However, Gray stands out from the crowd as a particular talent, therefore it would be unfair to compare anyone to him at such a young point of their career.
Though there are many reasons for hope when looking at the full Thorp Arch school, Jesse Marsch shouldn’t have any trouble selecting the skills to occasionally add to the senior team.
Transfer nearly becomes less significant since the manager is aware of a talented young player who is prepared to step up and be counted in a certain role.
