    Georginio Rutter’s sell-on clause ‘revealed’

According to German outlet Kicker, Leeds have spent €28million (£24.65m) for Georginio Rutter and will pay €12m (£10.56m) more over several further installments. They claim that any bonus payments in the deal are contingent upon reaching various milestones at the club, targets that are ‘realistic’ and likely for the 20-year-old to achieve.

The report also states that Hoffenheim are set to receive 10 per cent of any future transfer fee due to a clause in the contract. Therefore should the former Bundesliga star depart Elland Road, Leeds would have to keep in mind that they would only receive 90 per cent of any sale agreed.

The focus for now though is very much looking forward, with fans eager for the Frenchman to make his debut for the Whites as soon as possible. Rutter will be ineligible for the Cardiff FA Cup replay after failing to feature in the original tie, but a Premier League clash with Brentford on Sunday could see the new signing make his first appearance for the club.

Jesse Marsch outlines where Georginio Rutter fits in at Leeds United

Jesse Marsch says new signing Georginio Rutter has shown positive signs he can acclimate quickly after signing for Leeds United. The young French striker has made 64 appearances for Bundesliga side Hoffenheim prior to moving to Elland Road – a vast amount of experience at such a young age.

The Frenchman has impressed Marsch with his athletic ability but most importantly, his tactical nous in early chats with the Whites head coach. The American says he’s tried to talk Rutter through Leeds’ style of play and philosophy and has been pleased with those early conversations.

Marsch also believes Rutter has shown similarities, albeit slight differences with summer arrival Wilfried Gnonto and hopes he’ll have a similar impact om the team.

Liam Cooper’s injury issue as Luis Sinisterra back for Cardiff clash

Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch says Liam Cooper is a doubt to face Cardiff City after picking up a knee injury during a warm-up session yesterday. The centre-half has featured 12 times for the Whites in the Premier League so far this season and is a key part in the defensive unit at Elland Road.

The Whites will also be without Adam Forshaw, Crycensio Summerville, Stuart Dallas and Archie Gray who have been ruled out of the FA Cup Third Round replay with Cardiff. However, Marsch will be buoyed by the return of Luis Sinisterra after a lengthy lay-off with injury.

The Colombian international was one of the men tipped to help transform Leeds United’s fortunes after a disappointing campaign and has shown in patches, what he’s capable of. Nonetheless, injuries have limited his game time at Elland Road this season, playing just 10 competitive games for Marsch’s side this season.
