While Brendan Rodgers is unconcerned about the issue, Leicester are looking for a new goalkeeper this summer and have questioned about Robert Sanchez of Brighton, who may cost over £50 million.
According to transfer rumour, the only team out there making a tangible bid as Kasper Schmeichel set to dump the club is Newcastle United as they ready to submit huge offer to Leicester if he decided to make a move.
In the coming weeks, Schmeichel will meet with Rodgers, and the Leicester boss concedes there are no certainties that Sunday’s game against Southampton would be his last.
“He is quite pleased here,” he added. “Of course, he is getting to the age when he sees the finish line a little further down the road, but he is extremely happy in my chats with him.”
“He has a year left. It is critical for him and for us that he is in the finest possible condition.

“We saw with Wardy that there is a difficulty, but I believe he [Schmeichel] wants to stay here. I believe he wants to continue the battle and his career here, and he has had a tremendous career up to this point.
“Kasper was supposed to play the last two games. I’ve informed Kasper that he will be facing Chelsea and Southampton.”
Schmeichel was bought from Leeds for £1 million in June 2011 and has had an incredible 11 years, winning the Premier League, Championship, and FA Cup.
Ward made his Premier League debut for Leicester last weekend in a 5-1 victory against relegated Watford, four years after joining the club from Liverpool.
