Unlike Newcastle, a Saudi club wants to pay Lingard £10 million annually. Jesse Lingard, a target for Newcastle United, may be in route to Saudi Arabia.
After his contract with Manchester United expired, the midfielder became a free agent and has yet to sign with another organisation.
Lingard has been linked with a transfer to St James’ Park for the most of 2022, but the Red Devils turned him down in January.

The rumours persisted, but it appears that the 29-year-pay old’s demands are what are keeping him from turning into a magpie. The Chronicle said that he initially demanded £200,000 per week to join Eddie Howe’s team.
He is still a target for Newcastle, according to The Northern Echo, but he won’t sign with the team unless he lowers his pay demands.
Everton and West Ham, where he was “fantastic” while on loan, are interested in signing him for the Premier League, but he also has the option to use his skills elsewhere.
Club in Saudi Arabia willing to meet Jesse Lingard’s wage demands
There were rumours that Lingard may emigrate to the United States, but that won’t be happening. Moving to the Middle East is an option, though.
The Athletic claims that a Saudi Arabian club has made the England international an offer. They are prepared to pay him £10 million annually, or almost £200,000 per week.

It is hardly surprising that Lingard is taking into account such a staggering sum of money. The Athletic does, however, add that staying in the Premier League is his desire. A team in England, though, has no chance of paying him that much.
We should soon learn Lingard’s destination. According to the article, Lingard will decide next week after considering three options.
Newcastle may or may not be one of those contenders, but for the time being, it seems highly improbable that we’ll see him in a Toon jersey.
Though he came so close to joining the military, it would be immensely ironic to see him go to Saudi owner Club.
