Former Manchester United coach Michael Carrick may find West Ham United difficult to turn down amid David Moyes sack speculation
Former Manchester United player and coach and now Middlesbrough manager Michael Carrick may reportedly find West Ham tough to turn down.
According to the Daily Express on 4 March, the Englishman will prefer to stay in the North East and guide his team to promotion.
However, he may abandon that project if his former club comes calling and gives him the chance to manage in the Premier League amid all the sack speculation surrounding David Moyes.
Worth a shot
Carrick was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s assistant at Manchester United and he then took over the reins of the first team after his sacking.

Despite being in charge of the side for just two games, there was a relative difference in their organisation and he even managed to get a result against an in-form Chelsea side.
Despite the aura of Cristiano Ronaldo, he did not have a problem in showing the Portuguese who’s the boss and dropped him for one of their biggest matches of the season.
West Ham need a manager to show the player who’s the boss as it feels like the players have become too complacent under David Moyes.
With a 73 per cent win rate, Carrick’s current side is fighting for promotion and find themselves in third place – having been in serious relegation trouble when he took charge of them.
West Ham are looking at alternatives in the Premier League as well but it’s time that they pull the trigger on Moyes and bring in someone with fresh ideas.
