If Casemiro from Real Madrid is acquired by Manchester United this summer, Chelsea may have fierce competition for Jude Bellingham.
According to a source in The Sun, Bellingham was a target for Chelsea, but since Real Madrid purchased Casemiro from Manchester United for over £70 million, they are now the favourites to sign the Borussia Dortmund star.
And for West Ham, that might spell ultimate disaster because it could force Chelsea to turn once more to Declan Rice.
The 23-year-old West Ham player was eager to return to Chelsea and Stamford Bridge (The Mirror). However, they have subsequently turned their focus to Bellingham (The Sun).

The Hammers are still well-positioned to hang on to Rice. The team has the option to extend his current contract at the London Stadium by an additional 12 months until the summer of 2024.
Chelsea may now be a major issue for us next summer, but…
The Sun reported that Chelsea may no longer be able to sign Jude Bellingham from Real Madrid, who was a top transfer target.
This is so that they may find a successor for the Brazilian, Casemiro, who they recently sold to Manchester United.
Therefore, it wouldn’t be unexpected to see Chelsea return for Rice at this time.
At the age of 14, he left the west London club where he had started his junior career to join the Hammers’ academy.
Rice has always supported Chelsea, so if he left the London Stadium, a move back to the west end of London would be inevitable.
The West Ham supporters are constantly concerned that Dec would someday go back to his old team. The Hammers supporters found solace in Tuchel’s decision to prioritise signing Bellingham.
However, the most recent information about the Borussia Dortmund player being sought after by Real Madrid suggests that Chelsea may turn their attention back to Declan Rice.
All because Casemiro was acquired by Manchester United this summer!
West Ham should play well enough for the owners to support David Moyes in the transfer market as long as they do so. Rice will at least be able to see that we are a club with sincere aim at that point.
Dec might very well be returning to Chelsea in the summer of 2019 if that doesn’t happen.
