If Newcastle is successful in signing Broja in January, it will be a major coup for the club.
Newcastle United are still interested in Chelsea striker Armando Broja ahead of the next January transfer window. Broja has been described as “excellent” and “faster than Raheem Sterling” by a journalist.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Magpies are still keeping tabs on the Albanian international as they prepare for the next winter market.
Frank Lampard is considering making a transfer back to his old club in order to sign Broja’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin as competition.
But according to Jacobs, Graham Potter’s first transfer window as Chelsea manager will not see the attacker move out on loan.
Ben Chilwell, Broja’s teammate at Chelsea, says the attacker is faster than England’s Raheem Sterling, which has piqued Newcastle’s interest.
Broja said he was speedier than Sterling while comparing their ratings in the new FIFA 23 game.
Saying something like, “I can outrun Raheem!” And Broja put it this way.
He asked Chilwell whether he was, and Chilwell said, “You probably are you know?”
You have the fastest speed of anybody on the squad. They haven’t heard about you yet, man.
According to Jason Cundy, who called Broja “excellent,” the youngster is now getting his moment to shine for Chelsea and is making the most of it under Potter’s tutelage.
They need a younger player who can be a member of the team for many years, since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not a viable option for the future.
Since it seems like Broja has no plans to take a loan any time soon, Newcastle may have to seek elsewhere if they want to add a striker in the next January transfer window.
