Cass was a member of a number of first-team teams, although he never played in a tournament other than the EFL Trophy. Cass stated, “I’d like to express my gratitude to everyone who has been a part of our wonderful club over the previous ten years.

“Cass was named on Newcastle’s first-team bench in a 4-0 away win at Fulham on the last day of the 2018/19 Premier League season, as well as Newcastle’s FA Cup third round tie at Rochdale in January 2020,” according to a statement from United.

“Everyone at the club wishes Lewis the best of luck in his future endeavors.”
