Sean Longstaff has agreed to a new contract with Newcastle United that would keep him at the club until 2025.
The midfielder has finally wrapped up negotiations that have been going on since the beginning of the year.
But he was overjoyed with the result, and the Geordie is looking forward to staying at St James’ Park as the club enters a new era.
“I’m overjoyed,” Longstaff added. Signing for three more years at your hometown club is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me and my family, especially given the direction the club is taking and the changes the owners are making.

“You have to be in the appropriate position to grow and improve, and I’ve loved every second of working with the new managers since the first day they arrived.”
