This is a typical example of a player’s agent simply attempting to grab as much money as possible out of an agreement. While there’s nothing wrong with it to some extent, there will come a time when the transfer must be completed.
Ekitike has made it known that he wants to relocate to Newcastle. He’ll more than treble his salary, play under a decent manager, gain game time, and be a part of one of Europe’s most ambitious projects in the coming years.
If this goes on much longer and Newcastle withdraws, Ekitike will only have himself to blame.
