This is the latest Newcastle united News with Reims board given Hugo Ekit6 strong backing to move to his desire club with Newcastle stepping up the purchase.
Stade de Reims has been in communication with Newcastle United over Hugo Ekitike since the club originally made an approach for the striker in January.

Newcastle united News: Reims backed Hugo Ekitike to unfold his desire as Newcastle step up deal
It’s crucial to note that, rather than being intimidated by Newcastle’s relegation battle earlier this year, Ekitike did not believe he was ready to make the switch to St James’ Park after just a few months with Reims’ first team.
Ekitike, on the other hand, preferred to finish the season with Reims, and although only playing six games for the club in the second half due to injury, he nevertheless finished the season as the club’s leading striker with 11 goals.
Surprisingly, the player who was once regarded Reims’ fourth-choice striker is now the most productive youngster in Europe’s top five divisions this season.
That comeback has not gone unnoticed, and Live believes that Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan are both interested in signing Ekitike.
Newcastle, on the other hand, has long had ties with both Reims and the player’s entourage, and the Magpies now look to be winning the race for a player seen as a future star.
Reims’ president, Jean-Pierre Caillot, announced earlier this week that the club was seeking for roughly £25 million plus more than £8 million in add-ons.
The form of a prospective trade is still being discussed with Newcastle, but you get a feeling Caillot would be all in for Ekitike heading to Tyneside.
Caillot told L’Union Abonnes earlier this week, “It is an ambitious club that intends to grow for the long term and indicated its desire last winter.” “Contact has not been broken since then.”
“It’s usually the type of situation where he may continue to develop and turn a corner.”
