NSWE receive £150m transfer demand as Unai Emery prepares for window
We brings you the latest Aston Villa news as Simon Jordan insists NSWE must back Unai Emery with huge sums of money in the upcoming summer transfer window

Simon Jordan has urged Aston Villa owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens (NSWE) to back Unai Emery with at least £100 million in the summer window so he can continue building a squad capable of consistently challenging in the top six.
Villa are currently sitting in sixth position with five games remaining this season after winning 13 of their last 20 games since Emery took charge of the club.
The Spaniard replaced Steven Gerrard after the club won only two of their first 11 league games and were outside of the relegation zone on only goals scored.
Emery’s appointment has transformed Villa’s season and former Crystal Palace owner Jordan thinks he should be backed with huge sums of money in the coming transfer window.
“They’ve (NSWE) often said that they wanted to be competing at the top end of the Premier League,” he said on talkSPORT. “That comes at a consequence of the price. They brought Steven Gerrard in and he wasn’t up to it. Unai Emery clearly seems to be up to it.
He talks about someone that’s up to it and he talks about European football and he understands the value of it.
He understands the job he’s been brought in to do because he talks about it about being in Europe football and the opportunities are there.
“So they’ve got a big boy in a big seat now, now that he’s going to need support there. So he’s going to need to see £150 million or £100 million of a transfer spend next summer.
We’re going to see Liverpool wake up and we’re going to see Chelsea wake up. Chelsea will be back next season. Liverpool will be back next season.
“So we’ll see if the Aston Villa and the miracle team right now, the marvellous team of Newcastle can sustain it.
Those are the, those are the intrigue and we’ll work out if Arsenal can kick on and win the league next year because Man City will win it this.”
