Report from Mundo Deportivo Following reports that Chelsea is interested in acquiring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the forward has stated that he has “no intention” of leaving Barcelona and joining the Blues this summer.
The striker completed his much anticipated transfer to Camp Nou by leaving Arsenal during the January transfer window.
According to a source close to the former Arsenal player who talked with the Catalan daily, “Auba is extremely happy at Barça and in Barcelona, and he doesn’t think about leaving.”
The 33-year-old didn’t want to give up his dream move so fast because, according to the same source, he waited four years to make his transfer to the club.
Aubameyang played alongside the Polish international at Borussia Dortmund, so he isn’t very concerned about Robert Lewandowski’s competitiveness.
He has a contract with Barcelona that runs through June 2025, so if he chooses, he can finish out the rest of his professional career there.
Given all of that, it doesn’t seem like Chelsea’s interest, whether true or not, will have much of an impact.
