Newcastle United fans were delighted about a potential deal for striker Benjamin Sesko thanks to his agent, but Red Bull Salzburg want to keep hold of the forward this summer.
Following the striker’s agent’s visit to Tyneside, Red Bull Salzburg emphasised that Benjamin Sesko’s status is “quite clear.” The agent had caused excitement among Newcastle United supporters.
On Tuesday night, Elvis Basanovic shared pictures from Newcastle Airport and the Quayside on his Instagram stories. He later deleted the postings after admirers caught wind of them the following day.

Given that Sesko is Basanovic’s most important client, speculation over the player’s future inevitably arose when the agent paid Newcastle, who are aggressively looking to add additional firepower, a visit.

Although it’s unclear exactly what Basanovic did during his visit, brokers frequently go on fact-finding trips to learn more about possible travel locations for their customers.
The club has a history of informing agencies that they are keeping tabs on one of their young clients long before they formally make an offer, thanks to a number of people currently working behind the scenes at Newcastle.
Karim Adeyemi, a forward, was already allowed to sign with Borussia Dortmund last month, so it comes as no surprise that RB Salzburg has no intention of offloading the 19-year-old this summer.
ChronicleLive was informed by a club insider that “the issue is pretty apparent.” “We intend to play with Benjamin Sesko throughout the season. He is a young, vital player for FC Salzburg with a long-term deal.”
It is unlikely that the club would claim differently, and it remains to be seen whether Newcastle would ever put that attitude to the test. As part of his growth, Sesko had intended to “certainly” remain at Salzburg for at least another season.
Sesko just started playing regularly at the Red Bull Arena last season, yet he has already featured in the Champions League knockout rounds, made more than a dozen appearances for his nation, and won the Austrian league title. Sesko is Slovenia’s youngest ever goalscorer.
