Report: Tottenham player will be hit with a fine for off-field incident

Sport Mediaset have revealed that Udinese are expected to hit Destiny Udogie with a fine after the on-loan Tottenham man crashed his car into a bar in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Udogie had a major scare as his car reportedly smashed into a bar, damaging tables, chairs and umbrellas, with the total cost of the damage estimated at £2,600 (Mirror).Destiny Udogie

Although there was damage to his Mercedes, the player emerged from the incident unscathed while no one else was hurt either.

Udinese had confirmed that Udogie was involved in the incident and that the player had turned up to training later on the same day but Tottenham have not commented on the matter.

Sport Mediaset have now provided further details on the incident, stating that the left-back had ‘destroyed the outdoor furniture’ and that one of the umbrellas also hit a nearby car, shattering its window in the process.

They confirm that the player ‘didn’t report any consequences’ but add that the 20-year-old would have to pay a fine to the club ‘as established by the internal regulation’.

Udogie is extremely lucky that he is getting off with a fine rather than suffering any physical injuries.

The 20-year-old will likely be warned by both Spurs and Udinese, who will hope that he would use this as a lesson and does not repeat similar mistakes in the future.
