Ronaldo’s Reaction After 90min vs Burnley Left Fans Frustrated

Cristiano Ronaldo has been chastised by Manchester United fans for sprinting off the pitch at the end of their poor 1-1 draw with Burnley.

Ralf Rangnick’s team dominated the first half and rewarded their domination with Paul Pogba’s first goal of the season with 18 minutes remaining.

United continued on its journey. In fact, if two first-half goals had been disallowed, they would have been home and dry. Relegation candidates, on the other hand, are in a difficult situation. After the interval, Burnley appeared to be a completely different team.

Jay Rodriguez was passed through by new signing Wout Weghorst only two minutes into the second half before shooting past David de Gea for his 100th career goal.

After that, United never really got going again.

Another chance for the Reds was squandered, as second-half substitute Cristiano Ronaldo raced straight down the tunnel after the final whistle – a moment that enraged supporters.

After the game, players like Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho, and Harry Maguire thanked the raucous United away crowd, while Ronaldo was in the Turf Moor changing room.

His antics drew a lot of attention on social media.

“Ronaldo has an unreal attitude, and drawing at Burnley and going on his worst goal drought in ten years would definitely upset him,” one Twitter user commented. The away fans, on the other hand, do not deserve it.

“Regardless of your frustrations, you come over and express gratitude for the help. They were fantastic.”

“Didn’t go over to the fans again, shocking,” said another.

A third person stated: “Applauding your fans in the away end who have paid to travel and watch you play garbage, regardless of who you are or how talented you are, is the bare minimum. Child.”

Meanwhile, United interim manager Ralf Rangnick chastised his players for playing ‘tiki-taka football’ after they failed to score the winning goal against Burnley, who are currently in last place in the Premier League.

“We knew they’d come out more aggressively in the second half, and the only thing I can say to the team is that we weren’t aggressive enough in the first 20 minutes of the second half,” he told BBC.

We were playing tiki-taka football in our own half in the second half and weren’t being direct enough. We had the counter-attack, but in their box, we threw the ball away far too easily.”
