West Ham United won their sixth consecutive home game Wednesday night, beating Bournemouth 2-0 at the London Stadium.
After flirting with the relegation zone earlier in the season, the Hammers are now eighth in the league.
Although both goals were controversial, David Moyes’ team put forth an excellent display.
Kurt Zouma nodded in the ball after it looked to contact Thilo Kehrer’s arm.
West Ham’s advantage was increased in the last minutes when Said Benrahma comfortably slotted a penalty past Mark Travers.
The Hammers recorded their third clean sheet of the season, and Zouma rushed to Instagram to praise his team’s efforts.
Zouma’s effort pleased teammates Benrahma and Gianluca Scamacca, who both responded to him after the game.
Both players began the game, and Benrahma was a bother throughout, while Scamacca struggled to produce clear-cut chances.
After the game, the French defender said on Instagram, “Well, I’ve been waiting for that sensation for a long time!”
“Many thanks to everyone who has helped me along the journey!”
“I’m quite pleased with the goal, the clean sheet, and the victory.”
The Italian forward responded to Zouma with a burning love emoji, while Benrahma spoke to him as “my brother.”

This season, the Hammers have had a number of injuries in the back.
Zouma, on the other hand, has played the most minutes in the league this season.
Nayef Aguerd was West Ham’s most expensive defensive signing of the summer.
He is yet to make his debut, though, due to a significant injury sustained during pre-season.
He won’t be concerned about his other defenders as long as the Frenchman is doing so brilliantly.
It’s no surprise that Zouma’s performance last night pleased Benrahma and Scamacca.
