According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur is preparing to make a bid to sign a forward before the transfer deadline.
The Premier League’s juggernauts completed six new signings in quick succession to open the window, including Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet, and Djed Spence. However, recently, activity has slowed down.
Nicolo Zaniolo, a winger for AS Roma, was supposedly a target for Spurs, but Italian publication Corriere dello Sport has subsequently stated that former N17 manager Jose Mourinho has intervened to prevent the transaction from going through.
Tottenham, according to Sky Sports (via The Express), “remain on the market” for a “unnamed mystery forward.”
According to the sourc, nothing is yet in a “advanced” level, but Antonio Conte still believes that’more choices are necessary’ if he wants his team to be truly competitive this season, even after he added Richarlison to his ranks in the final third.

Last weekend, Spurs defeated Southampton 4-1 to begin their 2022–23 Premier League campaign, and the front three put on a performance that Ralph Hasenhuttl’s defence were unable to handle.
Conte has a fantastic selection of attackers at his disposal in the form of Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min, Dejan Kulusevski, and, as of late, Richarlison.
Any new forward joining at this point will have a very difficult battle on his hands trying to overtake the boss’ present alternatives for a spot in the starting XI, thus they will likely have to accept being nothing more than a rotation player.
