Leeds United assistant manager Rene Maric has said that Mateusz Klich could stay at Elland Road beyond the January transfer window, as quoted in Leeds Live.
Maric has said that Leeds and Poland international midfielder Klich is “a fantastic player”.
The Leeds assistant manager made the comments about the 32-year-old after the team’s 2-1 win against Spanish club Real Sociedad in a friendly match at Elland Road on Saturday.
There has been intense speculation that Klich could leave Leeds in the January transfer window.

Klich is on the verge of leaving the Premier League club for Major League Soccer outfit DC United, according to journalist Tom Bogert on Twitter last week.

According to TEAMtalk last month, the 32-year-old Poland international midfielder wants to leave Leeds in the January transfer window due to lack of playing.
The Leeds no. 43 has made 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this campaign, playing just 188 minutes.

However, based on comments from Maric, it seems that Klich could make a complete U-turn on his future.
When asked if he definitely sees a future for Klich at Leeds, Maric said: “Just from a coaching perspective, I think there is no doubt that Klich is a fantastic player and the great personality. So yes.”
