This is the latest Tottenham news as son Heung-min apologise to fan and tottenham for his reactions by explaining what beings his unhappiness with Conte taking him off the pitch.
Even though he understood Antonio Conte’s reasoning, Son Heung-min admits he was disappointed when he was replaced at the conclusion of the north London derby on Thursday.
With 18 minutes remaining on Thursday night and Spurs leading 3-0, Conte made a double substitution, replacing Dejan Kulusevski and goalscorer Son with Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn in preparation for Sunday’s midday kick-off against Burnley.
Son was not pleased with the decision and could be heard grumbling about it as he walked off the field and then sat on the bench with goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini. Son’s signature smile reappeared only after a hearty hug and talk with Conte after the final whistle.
Conte joked to media that he had pulled Son off to keep him alert so he could score against Burnley, despite the fact that he is currently only one goal behind Premier League top scorer Mohamed Salah, before admitting that it was solely a fitness decision with Tottenham’s game on Sunday in mind. Even though he understands the logic, Son confessed that he dislikes leaving the pitch.

“I hate coming off because I want to be on the pitch because I love football and I want to assist the team,” he explained. “I’ll understand afterwards, but right now you’re annoyed, not furious, since you’re so passionate on the field.”
I understand why, given that we have a very short game on Sunday. I can’t guarantee I’ll score, but I’ll give it my all for the team, and even if I don’t, I’ll give it my all.”
When questioned if he was getting close to Salah’s total, he added: “It makes no difference. It would be good, but finishing in the top four is critical for us. Today’s performance was outstanding, and I am really pleased of the men and believe it was well earned.
“Obviously, racing for the Golden Boot is a fantastic thing, but I’ve mentioned before that finishing in the top four is more important than anything else.”
Son was full of admiration for Conte and the turnaround he has achieved at Tottenham, who are now just a point behind fourth place with two games left in the Premier League season.
“Some of the players have already mentioned how great he has been. We couldn’t believe we’d made it into the Champions League before he came “the South Korean remarked “The enthusiasm, energy, and positivity he brought to the club were fantastic. Look at all the items he’s packed. Only ten days remain; we must offer everything we have.”

Son and his Spurs teammates now have less than 72 hours to recover from their derby exploits before facing a Burnley squad that will fight tooth and nail to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
“To be honest, looking at the timetable, it’s just insane. We have games on Thursday night and Sunday with a very early start.
We must do all possible to recuperate, including healthy food and rest, which is the most important thing, before getting ready to leave again “explained Son.
“Having a night kick-off is always preferable, but winning the early kick-off is always preferable.” It’s as if you wake up and go straight to the game.
The turnaround time, especially from Thursday to Sunday, is extremely short, but this is the timetable; we can’t change it, and we must be prepared for any eventuality that may arise.
“I’ll make every effort to sleep [after the Arsenal game].” I’m in the same boat, but what can I do? Even if I am having difficulty, I must make every effort to recuperate. Sleep is one of the most critical aspects of my recovery, and I’ll give it my all tonight. “I’ll take care of it.”
