Multiple sources are now reporting that Tottenham’s talks with Arne Slot have been positive and that the Dutchman could be confirmed as Antonio Conte’s successor sooner rather than later.
Football Insider have revealed that Spurs have held talks with Slot over the vacancy and were ‘hugely impressed’ by him during the interview.
On the back of those talks, the Feyenoord head coach is now said to be in a pole position to get the job, with the Tottenham hierarchy allegedly confident that he is the ‘right choice’ for the role.
The outlet asserts that Spurs could even confirm Arne Slot as their next manager by next week.
Although an agreement is not in place just yet, it is explained that discussions are progressing at a good pace and there is a willingness from both parties to complete a deal.
Football Insider are not alone in talking up the chances of Slot getting the Tottenham job, with Gianluca Di Marzio also taking to social media to confirm that the move is ‘advancing’ after ‘positive talks’ between the parties.

I suspect that Slot’s excellent man-management skills probably gave him an advantage over the likes of Luis Enrique and Roberto De Zerbi, who although they are good tactical fits, are prone to falling out with players.
Tottenham not only need a coach who players brave, front-foot football but also someone who can bring some positivity into the camp and unite the fan base, with the Dutchman seemingly fitting the bill.
