According to Italian website CMW claim Brighton want a bargain fee of just £26million if they are to sell midfielder Alexis Mac Allister in the January window – and with Tottenham keen, it would be one of Fabio Paratici’s best deals.
Mac Allister, 23, came into the tournament after shining at Brighton, scoring five goals in 14 games. A playmaker, “sumptuous” from set-pieces as described by Gary Lineker, Mac Allister has now thrown his name on the World stage.
He was an unused sub against Saudi Arabia – but thrusted into the starting line-up for Argentina’s remaining six games. Mac Allister played a crucial part in Argentina’s incredible World Cup triumph, including two assists.
The latter of which was in Sunday’s final, putting it on a plate for Angel Di Maria. Italian outlet L’Interesta claim Spurs are one of four clubs interested in signing Mac Allister. For £26m, he would be an absolute steal at Tottenham.

MAC ALLISTER WOULD BE ONE OF PARATICI’S BEST TOTTENHAM DEALS
Paratici has had real success in the transfer market since moving to Spurs from Juventus. Rodrigo Bentancur at £20million, Cristian Romero, Dejan Kulusevski who still remains on loan, and more. Ivan Perisic on a free transfer, too.
But looking at this Spurs side now, there are still a couple of positions they lack to go from a top-four fighting side – to a title contender. A new right-back, back-up for Harry Kane, and an attacking midfielder. A creative, ball-playing star.
Something Spurs have really not had, since Christian Eriksen left. Bringing in Mac Allister would finally seen them have that kind of player at Antonio Conte’s disposal. For just £26m, he is a bargain – if going off his form at the World Cup.
Indeed, bringing Mac Allister to Tottenham for a figure less than £30million would be one of Paratici’s best-ever deals. Not even, limiting him to just his Tottenham deals. But the chances of Brighton selling that cheap seems unlikely.
