The Telegraph claims that Destiny Udogie’s transfer from Udinese to Tottenham Hotspur is now imminent.
For a few months now, Udogie has been connected to the north London club, but it now appears that they are about to land their man.
It’s noteworthy to note that following Ivan Perisic and Djed Spence, this would be the third wingback to join Spurs during this transfer window.

Perisic may not need to worry about losing his position anytime soon since Udogie, who is only 19 years old, is a player for the future, but if the Nigerian player keeps progressing at his current rate, he may soon become a star for Spurs.
In fact, although Udogie was mostly unknown a year ago, he has really picked up steam since the start of this year.

After the Serie A winter break, Udogie found his greatest form as an attacking wing-back, scoring no less than five goals and providing four assists since mid-February.
Udogie’s recent record actually shows that he has contributed to eight goals in just 14 games, which is a ratio that most attackers would be happy of.
Udogie has scored five league goals since February, which is more than Mo Salah had for Liverpool in the same time frame and more than Marcus Rashford scored for Manchester United throughout whole season combined.
Udogie undoubtedly possesses the skills necessary to pose a serious danger from wide areas, and Antonio Conte may now be the best manager for him to play for.
If Conte stays on at Spurs for a few more years, this 19-year-old player might turn out to be an absolute gem of a signing, and in a few years, we might be looking at one of the finest in the Premier League.
